To track an Employee’s time, the Employee must be setup with a personnel record that is associated with a Trade, Crew and Labor Account.
Whether you are a time card clerk or a tech in the field, so long as you have a CHAMPS User ID you can enter Time Card information using the Approve Time Card section on the Actual tab of the Work Order.
In the Approve Time Card section, click the Add New icon and fill out all the relevant data.
The Date field will default to the current date, it can, however be changed to the date work was performed.
Enter the Badge ID of the employee whose time is being recorded in the Badge ID field.
The Trade dropdown will be populated only with Trades associated to the Badge entered.
Enter the amount of hours worked in the Normal Hours field, this will be charged at the rate associated to the Trade selected.
Enter any additional hours worked in the Overtime Hours field, this will be charged at a rate defined by the Overtime Code selected.
Optionally a Differential code can be used to define a premium added to a worker’s hourly rate or used as a multiplier of the worker’s pay.
Any other details that need to be included can be entered in the Comments field.
Click the Save button.
If you have the Time Card Approver access right, the Time Card will be marked approved and moved to the Time Card Summary section.
If you do not have that access right, the Time Card will remain in the Approve Time Card section until this Work Order is saved by a user who does or it is approved through the Time Card Approval page.
